Hello followers!!!

We are safely in Worcester (pronounced wuhsteh, with the accent), and we have two Evensongs under our belts! We apologize for not posting at all the last few days, but we have been very busy. Internet connection has been very scarce, and the Mocks have been generous enough to share their laptop (and internet connection) with us!

England is amazing, brilliant, lovely, fascinating, glorious, and beautiful. (I hope that those were enough adjectives for you!!) Wales, as well, is quite pretty!

Here are some of the places we've been: Cheltenham, England (where we stayed for the first three days), Tintern Abbey, in Wales; Cardiff Castle, Wales; Tewksbury Abbey, where we sang for the Sunday morning service; Glaucester, where we had a beautiful tour; Glaucester cathedral, the site of the filming of the Harry Potter movies (which Maddie got quite excited about!); finally, Worcester, where we will be singing as the resident choir all week!

You can see that we have been quite busy. ; ) Trust me, the busyness has been backed up by many pictures! Sadly, we don't have a way to put our pictures onto the computer (it doesn't accept Tracie's memory card), so you'll just have to wait a bit...Just google all of the places we told you! There are some beautiful pictures online!

The food is pretty good, it hasn't rained that much, (though it is in the 60's most of the time), and we are getting lots of exercise!! We have walking tours almost every day, and just yesterday, we walked (or ran, depending on your enthusiasm), up 235 (or 9) steps to the top of the Worcester Cathedral tower. The view is BEAUTIFUL! We've been recommending (or forcing) choir members to go up ever since then.

We thought we might want to set you all straight on a little incident that happened yesterday. We have heard that a small accident in our coach (bus) has been blown a bit out of proportion. Yes, our coach backed into a tree the other day. And yes, glass shattered all over the five us sitting in the backseat (Maddie, Kayleigh, Hayley, Angela and me). BUT WE ARE OKAY! Hayley has a beautiful welt, but she was the only one hurt. The rest of us just had some glass shoved in some weird places. (I had to pick a lot of it out of my hair. Thank you to everyone who helped me!!) So don't worry.

Happy birthday, Alison and Kayleigh!!!!! And belated birthdays to Lynda and Molly!! I would write more, but catchphrase calls...we will see you all later!!

- Julie (with additions from Tracie, who wrote the last post. In case you wanted to know!)

  1. I heard that you all were attacked by a giant "Whomping Willow" (ask Maddie the Harry Potter fan about this). I also heard that ninjas came in through the opening in the back of the bus and you had to fight them off lest the steal your music folders. Little known fact...Ninjas love choral music.

Anyway, glad that you are all more than ok and having a great time. Sing good and pray lots!-Joe

Woahh, I'm sorry that you were attacked by a TREE! But I'm thankful that nobody was seriously hurt. =)

I hope you continue to have an AWESOME (you know what my Mom would say to that!! =D) time!!

    Talk to you soon,
    Alison

  4. How exciting to see another blog entry and hear your voices too. Today you are in London and we have been praying for fun, safety and excitement. Looking very forward to hearing your comments about today! We looked up some of the activities you said you would do so we could "live" them with you. Tomorrow is Willy Wonka for the boys! Here is a closing prayer I have prayed for you. May all your music and singing be joy filled!! May the paths you walk be blessed and the history and sights you see be inspiring! God is good all the time! All the time God is good. :-) MOM (Kelley Finke)
